Families, churches, schools, nonprofits, civic leaders, first responders, local businesses, and community partners are invited to gather Saturday, November 7, for the Kids on Mission Parade & Family Fest, a citywide celebration designed to strengthen families, support children, and bring the community together around a shared message of hope and belonging.

Centered on the theme “Stronger Families, Stronger Future,” the event will begin with an 11:00 am parade at SW 10th & (South of I-40) & S Robinson followed by a noon Family Fest at Lower Scissortail Park (Sports Pavillion). The celebration will highlight Oklahoma Family Month, raise awareness for orphan care and foster support, and offer a safe, family-friendly environment filled with entertainment, children’s activities, food, resources, prayer, and community connection.

“Families are the foundation of strong communities,” said Jamel Crawford, Compassion Director, Oklahoma Assemblies of God Network. “Kids on Mission Parade & Family Fest is more than an event—it is a visible reminder that children and families across our city deserve encouragement, support, and a place to belong. We are inviting churches, schools, organizations, and neighbors to stand together for a stronger future.”

The parade is expected to include 20–35 floats and entries from churches, community organizations, adoption and foster care agencies, schools, youth groups, nonprofits, city and state officials, first responders, and local businesses. Immediately afterward, the Family Fest will feature live entertainment, food trucks and vendors, a car show, inflatables and children’s activities, community resource booths, and prayer support.
